Opening Performance

‘Bharotbarsha’, acombination of ballet and contemporary dance with multi-media presentation that will depict the theme of the festival, concept and script by Rituparna Das Dutta and choreographed by Sanchita Basu Mallick and Writuparna Dasgupta, Sreeshti of NJ.

Light of Asia

A children’s play in Bengali on the life of Buddha written by Dhriti Bagchi, directed by Parthapratim Deb (Kolkata, India) and performed by Mrittika, NJ.

Recipe Book

A Hindi play on the story of an older woman who is a victim of dementia, directed by Mukund Kamerkar, written by Shubhada Kamerkarand performed by Theatrix, NJ.


A play in English based on identity theft crisis written by William C. Kovacsik(US), directed by Mahesh Dattani (Mumbai, India) and performed by ICS Theater, NJ.


A play in Bengali written by Indrasish Lahiri, directed by Meghnad Bhattacharya (Kolkata, India) and performed by Spotlight, Columbus, Ohio.

Sagina Mahato

A musical play in Bengali based on the true story of the labour movement in North Bengal written by Gour Kishore Ghosh, directed by Parthapratim Deb (Kolkata, India) and performed by Epic Actors’ Workshop, NJ.
